Open Coaching Session
Ever wanted to up your game and become a coach? Now’s your chance! There’s an Open Coaching Session on the 28th of April. Please see the announcement from Ian Norwood below:
Good evening everyone
I have organised an open coaching session for club archers on Saturday 28th April at Riverside Archery Club, Thorp Academy, Ryton NE40 3AH. Would you be kind enough to pass this information to those in your club that might be interested. Doors will be open at 9:00 for range and kit setup so we can start at 10:00, we aim to finish by 4:00pm. Places will be limited so please advise your archers to book in by contacting Ian Norwood at DNAACoaching@gmail.com giving a brief outline of their experience and outcome for the session.

Christmas Meal 18th December
The Club’s Christmas Meal has been booked for 18th of December. Please see the Christmas Menu for options available and let John or Janet know your choice as soon as possible.
Update from John: Please show up at 7 for 7.30 pm meal start. Also, as usual the club will be subsidising the meal to the tune of £10 per person.
DNAA Coaching Session
DNAA is inviting to a coaching session. Here is their invite:
Do you need a little help with your archery?
There will be a coaching session open to any club archer wanting a little extra help at the home of Durham City Archers, Framwellgate School, Pit Lane, Durham DH1 5BQ, on Sunday 3rd December. 9:30 for a 10:00 start, finish around 4:00pm. There will be several coaches on hand to give help with any bow style.
Places will be limited so please book in advance by sending an email via DNAACoaching@gmail.com to Ian Norwood, with a brief indication of bow style, experience and goal for the session.
Autumn 2017 Shooting Dates
October
Monday 2nd, 7-9pm.

Monday 4th, 7-9pm – Update: this will now be a postal shoot

Note we will not be able to shoot on Monday 11th December and will not shoot for the two weeks over christmas.
Castles (logical) League
This, individual competition, will begin again in October. Members should start handing in scoresheets,(highest monthly 36 arrow scores will be forwarded to the league).
Postal League
This competition will start in November, this team event will be shot, if possible, on the third Monday of each month, the top five 60arrow (Portsmouth round) scores will constitute the club’s score for the month.
Help required to set up the range
A gentle reminder to anyone coming to the club to shoot, can folks please make an effort to get to the venue in good time to help set up the range, it seems unfair to let one or two people do the work before getting ready to shoot.
